Contributions from members and SLAA groups are an integral part of keeping the Greater Chicago/Milwaukee SLAA Intergroup working to help carry the message. Tradition 7 states: "Every S.L.A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions." This means that only SLAA groups or people who consider themselves to be members of SLAA should make a contribution.
The easiest way to send donations to Intergroup is through the Venmo mobile app.
To download the app, visit Venmo.com on your smartphone web browser. Open the app and follow the prompts to create your account.
To change privacy settings:
Click the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the app.
Select “Settings”
Under Preferences, select “Privacy”
Select “Private” for all your transactions to be hidden from other Venmo users.
To send a payment, click the icon in top right corner of the home page.
Enter “@Augustine-Fellowship” as the recipient.
Enter the payment amount.
Where it says “What’s it for?” please enter your group name so that Intergroup may keep accurate donation records from each meeting.
Exception: If you are sending payment for an event or scholarship fund, please indicate that in description instead.
To adjust privacy setting of your payment, click on the blue text above the “Pay” button. Select “Private” to keep your payment hidden.
Click the “Pay” button.
Review payment and bank information, then click the green “Pay” button to finalize.
